The mission of Temecula Valley Pop Warner is to enable our children to benefit from participation in the sports of football and cheerleading in a safe and structured environment. Through this active participation, the Temecula Valley Pop Warner program teaches fundamental skills, values and knowledge that these young people will use throughout their lives.
Our organization places great emphasis on education, safety, and fun. We are comprised of volunteers, parents, student athletes, and community. The Temecula Valley Pop Warner experience is one of camaraderie that will provide our participants with life lessons and lasting memories.
Pop Warner football offers flag (5-7 year of age) and tackle divisions (7-14 years of age). Division eligibility is based on a combination of age and weight. Players may qualify for multiple divisions. It's always important to position your child in the division that provides him or her the best opportunity for growth and learning based on their football experience. If you're unsure of the best division for your child, the TVPW staff can provide assistance by making the best recommendation. Tackle division practice begins August 1st. Most teams will practice from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and during the month of August, practice will be held every weeknight. The week following Labor Day (week beginning September 3rd) practices will reduce to 3 nights per week (Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday).
Flag division will also begin practicing August 1st; however, this division will practice three nights per week and for 1-1/2 hours per night. Your coach will determine which days of the week your team will be practicing. Beginning the week of September 3rd, practices will be limited to two nights per week and could be any two of the above mentioned days.
All teams are required to raise funds that go towards League expenses (i.e. referees, utility expenses, fields, etc.) In addition to League fundraising, teams may also be asked to raise funds for team parties and player/staff gifts.
This is a travel sport. We are one of 17 Associations in Palomar Conference and go as far north as Wildomar, south as Scripps Ranch, east as Ramona and west as Oceanside.
All refund requests must be in writing and reviewed by the Board of Directors. All refunds will be less $100 processing fee. No refunds will be granted after July 1.
