Johnson Family Loses Beloved Father and Husband Unexpectedly

It is with great sadness that we share the unfortunate news that a Temecula Valley Pop Warner family is dealing with an unexpected loss.  On August 29, Wilson James Johnson, Jr. passed unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife Karina, and sons Xavier and Jeremiah.

According to the family's GoFundMe page,  "Wilson was a goofball, always laughing, dancing around and joking with others. His smile could light up an entire room, it was so contagious!".  The page also shared that Wilson "meant the world" to his sons Xavier and Jeremiah.

The family is accepting support, including messages of condolence, love and prayers directed towards the Johnson family.  This is also an opportunity to provide them with financial support as they deal with Wilson's loss.  Temecula Valley Pop Warner has committed support from the league and we are encouraging all TVPW families to consider donating to the Johnson family on their GoFundMe page. Any and all donations are appreciated.  In addition, Riddell has provided TVPW with a SpeedFlex helmet that we'll be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win on our website.  Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased here.

Family friends have arranged for donations of any kind to help the Johnson family. Family friend, Stacey Brennen shares, "Feel free to write letters attach cards to your items. We're thinking about ever day items such as toilet paper, toothpaste, soap, food for family, snacks for the kids, water..etc. anything to help ease the burden on Karina so she can focus elsewhere. Everything we collect we will bring to her the same day." Stacey and family friends will be hosting donation drop-off this Thursday, September 7 from 6-8pm at the Pizza Factory located on Temecula Parkway. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Stacey Brennen at (951) 500-7649 or Shanika Eatmon at 760-580-5670.
